Items for discussion and possible vote:

• Recommendations on Neighborhood Council Funding Equity to the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners Equity Funding Work Group

Possible action regarding an advisory letter advising Councilman Blumenfield and the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners Work Group regarding increasing the share of funding for this Neighborhood Council. The work group is evaluating redistributing NC funding based on NC population, with possible base funding amounts for Administration, Community Improvement Projects, and Community Benefit Grants. It is also considering reintroducing rollover of funds with limits and whether or not Neighborhood Councils can receive donations of both cash and property along with limits. Donations were allowed for a few years until 2013. Donations would be sent to the City Clerk in the name of the Neighborhood Council.

• Community Plan Update Activities (Continued)
  • Reevaluation of work on community plan and what strategy to take regarding working with City Planning on the Community Plan Update.
  • Discussion on and evaluation of the need for community rezoning policies utilizing new Re:CodeLA zones to manage the potential mandatory density up-zoning from legislation pending such as SB 827 in the state legislature.
  • Discussion on what type of outreach should be done regarding the community plan revision.
• Outreach Activity Plans
  Continued committee outreach discussions on creating website entries for WHIP activities and whether to do and how to do the planned survey outreach to generate community participation and discuss possible community workshops.
• Additional topics for future meetings
