Homeless & Social Justice Advocacy Committee

Homeless & Social Justice Advocacy Committee

The mission of our Homeless and Social Justice Advocacy Committee is to give the community a voice in identifying and finding solutions for issues relating to homelessness in our area. We give a voice to all Stakeholders, housed and unhoused. Our findings are communicated to elected officials, City Departments and local non-profit service providers, so that we can all work together to help solve the crisis.

The committee's primary activity is to be advisory to Council District 3 Bob Blumenfield's office. We engage by writing Community Impact Statements and working with the CD3 office on local homeless issues. Other activities include assisting in homeless outreach events such as the Homeless Services Connect Day, and assisting organizations that work with the homeless by volunteering, donation, and providing Neighborhood Purpose Grants.
