WHWCNC HOMELESSNESS COMMITTEE MEETING

Stakeholders and the public are permitted to address the Committee on any item on the Agenda prior to the Committee taking action on said item. It is requested speakers complete a “Speaker Card” and hand it to the Chair. Comments from Stakeholders and the Public on Agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments within the Committee’s subject matter jurisdiction on other matters not appearing on the Agenda will be heard during the Public Comment period. Public Comment is limited to 20 minutes. Each speaker is limited to two minutes, unless waived by the presiding officer of the Committee.

Opinions, positions or actions taken by the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council do not represent or imply similar opinions held by the Owner, Landlord, L.A.U.S.D, Business or representatives of any venue hosting a meeting of the Council Board, or Committee.

Participation and discussion of WVNAH Homelessness Resource Fair

Item no. (3) Community Impact Statements
Discussion and possible action:
Discussion of community impact statements that Impact the west valley. Continuation of previous impact statements.

Item no. (4) Homeless Outreach
Discussion and possible action:
1. Meet our Homeless individuals in WH and determine what is needed
a. Variel-Erwin to Victory
b. Topanga Canyon and Burbank
c. Ventura
2. Discussion of the Homelessness Committee working in conjunction with nonprofits and LAHSA to conduct outreach in Woodland Hills

Item no. (5) Asset Map
Determine assets for Homeless Services in the West Valley and how we can involve them more in assisting the Homeless in West Valley, specifically Woodland Hills

Item no. (6) Upcoming Topics and Focus for New Term
Discussion of potential CIS or letter in response to recent deaths of homeless individuals in the LA area Also, discuss other potential topics of public interest and how we can better serve Woodland Hills.
