Stakeholders and the public are permitted to address the Council on any item on the Agenda prior to the Board taking action on said item. It is requested speakers complete a “Speaker Card” and hand it to the Chair. Comments from Stakeholders and the Public on Agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments within the Board’s subject matter jurisdiction on other matters not appearing on the Agenda will be heard during the Public Comment period. Public Comment is limited to 20 minutes. Each speaker is limited to two minutes, unless waived by the presiding officer of the Council.
The opinions, positions or actions taken by the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council do not represent or imply similar opinions held by the Owner, Landlord, L.A.U.S.D, or  representatives of any venue hosting a meeting of the Neighborhood Council Board, or affiliated committees.

Discussion and possible action.
Motion to approve the proposed and conditional application to reuse an existing approximately 47,465 square foot retail building located at 19800 Ventura Boulevard, Woodland Hills, CA – (the soon-to-be former Pavilion’s Supermarket) – as an Orchard Supply Hardware Store of the same size.

Discussion and possible action.
The Planning and Land Use Committee recommend that the WHWCNC approve the proposed renovation, and remodel of a vacant retail store (former site of a Kentucky Fried Chicken) located at 5366 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA 91364 and turn the facility into Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, a hair services establishment for men, women and children.

Discussion and possible action.
Motion to approve an appropriation of up to $250 from the 2014/2015 fiscal year budget for a “Town Hall” style forum with the Candidates for the Assembly District 45 and certain Propositions which are to be voted upon in the November election. The town hall will be administered by the Northridge East and West, Canoga Park, Reseda, and possibly more NC’S as so determined. The appropriation is for refreshments, rent, programs, public outreach, and other miscellaneous expenses.

For the upcoming 2013/2014 academic year the proposed Board meeting dates are: October 8, 2014.
September to June meetings will be tentatively held at Woodland Hills Academy, Multi-Purpose Room
(“MPR”), 20800 Burbank Boulevard, Woodland Hills, CA 91367 at 6:30 p.m. July and August 2014 meetings are to be held at a venue to be determined at a later date.
