Proposed hours of operation 11 am to 10 pm seven days a week
399 parking spaces are required. 422 are provided. It is in an enterprise zone.
The committee voted to recommend the approval of the request, which will be forwarded to the full board at the February 13th meeting. The committee required that there be no bar service and that a video surveillance system be installed to monitor alcohol sales.

Attached are some pictures from the Mid-January event for emergency preparedness and HAM radio operators at the California Highway Patrol Headquarters taken by WHWCNC member Roger Gerish. The CHP and the CERT Team were there. Assembly Member Bob Blumenfield put on the event. They did a HAM radio operators test at 8am.

Six candidates seeking to represent the West San Fernando Valley on the Los Angeles City Council will participate in a town hall sponsored by the Valley Regional Forum in conjunction with Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce on January 30 at the Westfield Promenade Mall.
Business owner Elizabeth Badger, Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield, business owner Cary Iaccino, attorney Joyce Pearson, city Personnel Department investigator Steven Presberg and commercial real estate broker Scott Silverstein, will answer questions drawn from members of the Chamber and from the public. The candidates are competing to succeed Council District 3 incumbent Dennis Zine, who is termed out. The nonpartisan primary election will be held on March 5, with the general election on May 21 if no candidate garners more than 50 percent of the vote.
The town hall is the second event in the Valley Regional Forum series hosted by the Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce, the largest Chamber in the San Fernando Valley with over 700 business members. In October the Chamber hosted a debate on Proposition 38, which aimed to increase school funding by raising state income taxes on most Californians.
Also involved in presenting the Council District 3 town hall are the Reseda Neighborhood Council, the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council, the Tarzana Neighborhood Council, the Canoga Park Neighborhood Council and the Canoga Park-West Hills Chamber of Commerce.
The forum will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the retail space formerly occupied by Dick’s Sporting Goods, the same space used by the Chamber last January for a 30th congressional district town hall forum with Democratic incumbents Brad Sherman and Howard Berman and Republicans Susan Shelley and Mark Reed.
