The Committee name was changed to Woodland Hills Issues and Policies [WHIP] when the focus was expanded to all WHWCNC Community Impact Statements. Now that Board President\, Joyce Fletcher\, believes committee should be writing Impact Statements on issues under their purview\, should  WHIP return to just dealing with Issues and Policies related to the Department of City Planning? \n\n\n Consideration of Requested Action from the Board President regarding the lack of accounting for Fees collected under the Warner Center Specific Plan and Ventura/Cahuenga Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan.\n\n\nDiscussion and possible action requesting City Council action for an audit by appropriate agencies to brings transparency/clarity to the status of the funds with properly formatted reports to allow the Boards for the Specific Plans to perform their regulatory/supervisorial duties. \n\n\n (Time permitting) Consideration of action for recommendation to Board regarding the latest draft of the Community Plan Update for Woodland Hills and Ventura Boulevard.\n\n\nDiscussion and possible action to determine what should be the response from the Board\, if any\, to the Planning Team for the Community Plan \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPara español siga hacia abajo.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDear Stakeholder\,\n\nToday\, Los Angeles City Planning is releasing updated draft land use designations for the three Community Plans of the Southwest Valley:\n\nCanoga Park-Winnetka-Woodland Hills-West Hills\,\nEncino-Tarzana\, and\nReseda-West Van Nuys-Lake Balboa.\n\nYou can explore the proposed land use designations in detail via the online StoryMap. The StoryMap tool is a guided experience that contains interactive maps and online feedback forms to make it easy for you to review the proposed content and share your comments.\n\nAs part of this release\, the Southwest Valley team has developed a three-part video series to provide background information and answer questions you may have regarding the Community Plans Update.\n\nThe Video Series\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPart One provides an introduction to the Community Planning process and the City’s new Zoning Code\, gives an overview of the Southwest Valley geography\, and discusses changes to the boundaries of the Community Plans as well as the introduction of the Ventura Corridor as part of the Community Plans Update process.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPart Two focuses on the vision for the Southwest Valley Community Plans Update and discusses the strategies behind the newly proposed land use designations for achieving this vision.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPart Three focuses on the Ventura-Cahuenga Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan\, discussing its place within the overall Community Plans Update process and future possibilities for the specific plan area.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease click on each part above to view the videos\, which can also be found on ourwebsite.\n\nVirtual Office Hours\n\nAdditionally\, the Southwest Valley team will be holding office hours wherein stakeholders may set up a time to speak one-on-one with planning staff.
