Motion to approve a Community Impact Statement related to Council File # 21-0658.\nMotion (21-0658) calls for a strategic plan to streamline 100 percent deed-restricted affordable housing\nprojects. As the Motion states\, only 6 percent of the housing projects approved since 2015 have been 100\npercent deed-restricted affordable housing\, while the need for affordable housing in the City far outpaces that\nrate. To mitigate the housing and homelessness crisis in Los Angeles\, the City can and should encourage the\ndevelopment of fully affordable housing projects by making them cheaper and easier to build.\n7.
