Zoom users should use the “raise hand” feature. \nFinding and moving to a community where you feel at home and it matches the vision you feel it should be is hard. And when you do find that place like Woodland Hills\, then you don’t want to worry about how your community might change so that it no longer fits your needs. \nWhy should you have to worry? Can’t there be a way for you to know how your community will grow and how it might change? \nThe Importance of a Community Plan\nA well-crafted Community Plan will direct the development of the community to get the right changes that the community wants. Community members will enjoy their neighborhoods more when the community develops they way they envisioned. \nOur Community Plan needs a refresh to adapt to new needs\, preserve what we like\, and direct future development to benefit the community. Community Planners started working on this several years ago\, but their work is not finished. \nWhere are We on the Pathway to the New Community Plan\nAt this event Community Planners will present their process and where they are on the path to having a new Community Plan for Canoga Park\, Winnetka\, West Hills and Woodland Hills. Discussions will focus on Woodland Hills. This event is where Woodland Hills has the opportunity to respond to preliminary concepts\, policies and goals envisioned for the new Community Plan. \nJoin Us Because\, Your Presence is Important\nWithout your participation\, Planners are not able to know what your vision is for the future of Woodland Hills in the future. They want to inform you and then hear from you. You will possibly determine important aspects of the community’s development. Let them know what’s important to you and what you feel is mistaken. \nWhat they will try to cover: (estimated 30 to 45 minutes)\n\nAn Introduction to orient people new to this process\n\nThe General Plan vs the Community Plan\nIntroduction to The New Zoning Code\nStatus of the Southwest Valley Community Plans\nOverview of Woodland Hills Land Use in the General Plan\nRelationships of the 4 Specific Plans in Woodland Hills to the Community Planning\nReview of Woodland Hills Areas and Implementation of the New Zoning Code\n\nDiscussion Time\nTime for getting some answers and responding to what the Planners have presented. Public discussion will be moderated by the Neighborhood Council. \nClick to go to the Southwest Vally Community Plan Update Website\nThis event is Not a Board Meeting although Board Members may attend. No  Board Meeting or Actions will occur. \nPublic and Board Members must be civil or they may be removed from the meeting. \nClick  for Agenda PDF for Community Plan Forum \n  \n
