Actions taken on agenda items during a disruption that prevents the Homeless &amp;<br \/>\nSocial Justice Advocacy Committee from broadcasting the meeting may be challenged pursuant to Section<br \/>\n54960.1.<br \/>\nThe Homelessness &amp; Social Justice Advocacy Committee shall not require public comments to be submitted<br \/>\nin advance of the meeting and shall provide an opportunity for the public to address the Homeless &amp; Social<br \/>\nJustice Advocacy Committee and offer comments in real time.<br \/>\nNotwithstanding Section 54953.3, an individual desiring to provide public comment through the use of an<br \/>\ninternet website, or other online platform, not under the control of the Homeless &amp; Social Justice Advocacy<br \/>\nCommittee, that requires registration to log in to a teleconference may be required to register as required by<br \/>\nthe third-party internet website or online platform to participate.<br \/>\n(i) If the Homeless &amp; Social Justice Advocacy Committee provides a timed public comment period for<br \/>\neach agenda item shall not close the public comment period for the agenda item, or the opportunity to<br \/>\nregister, pursuant to subparagraph, to provide public comment until that timed public comment period has<br \/>\nelapsed.<br \/>\n(ii) If the Homeless &amp; Social Justice Advocacy Committee does not provide a timed public comment<br \/>\nperiod, but takes public comment separately on each agenda item, shall allow a reasonable amount of<br \/>\ntime per agenda item to allow public members the opportunity to provide public comment, including time<br \/>\nfor members of the public to register pursuant to subparagraph (D), or otherwise be recognized for the<br \/>\npurpose of providing public comment.<br \/>\n(iii) If the Homeless &amp; Social Justice Advocacy Committee provides a timed general public comment<br \/>\nperiod that does not correspond to a specific agenda item shall not close the public comment period or<br \/>\nthe opportunity to register, pursuant to subparagraph (D), until the timed general public comment period<br \/>\nhas elapsed.<br \/>\nItems for discussion and possible action:<br \/>\nAll comments are limited to 2 minutes per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding chair of the committee.<br \/>\nI.
