The Resolution states that cat declawing is a cruel and unethical surgical procedure that includes the amputation of the first knuckle of each cat&#8217;s toes, resulting in lifelong disfigurement and pain. The Resolution further states that declawing is prohibited or considered unethical in several countries, including Sweden, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom as well as in 15 counties and cities in the United States including New York and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Discussion about ways to support diversity, seniors, veterans and LGBTQ neighbors in our community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Plan a project or NPG to support Woodland Hills\u2019 American Legion Post 826 and its<\/p>\n<p>75<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Discussion about events and committee goals for fiscal year 2024\/2025.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>How to form a WHWCNC non-profit.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>New Business \u2013 for discussion and possible action at the next committee<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>ADJOURNMENT<\/h1>\n<p>As a covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Los Angeles does not discriminate on the basis of disability and upon request will provide reasonable accommodation to ensure equal access to its programs, services, and activities.
