See Council File No. 22-0560. The Ad Hoc Committee<\/p>\n<p>on Government Reform held hearings on the Ethics Commission\u2019s policy proposal in February<\/p>\n<p>and March of 2023. But no further action was taken and the council file expired on March 17,<\/p>\n<p>2025.<\/p>\n<p>On April 23, 2025, the members of the Ethics Commission voted to retransmit the<\/p>\n<p>previous 2022 recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>The City Council is required to hold a public hearing on policy proposals that are<\/p>\n<p>transmitted by the Ethics Commission within 180 days. If a hearing is not held within that time<\/p>\n<p>period, the City Clerk is required to schedule the policy proposal at the next regular City Council<\/p>\n<p>meeting.
