Committee members may include board members and stakeholders.<\/h2>\n

As an active member of the community, you have the opportunity to serve on one of the Neighborhood Council's committees. These committees are crucial to ensuring that the community is well-represented and that its needs are met.<\/p>\n

As a valued member of the community, your skills and interests are needed to contribute to the work of the committees. The NC President appoints board members as committee chairs, but you, as a stakeholder, have the chance to serve alongside them as a committee member.<\/p>\n

When the Board President selects committee chairs and members, they consider a variety of factors, including geographic representation, expertise, and commitment to the committee's tasks.<\/p>\n

New committees may be formed or adjusted throughout the term, in consultation with the committee chairs, to ensure that the council is meeting the community's evolving needs.<\/p>\n

There are two types of committees within each Committee Group: Standing Committees<\/strong>, which meet regularly, and Ad Hoc Committees<\/strong>, which are formed to address specific issues for a limited time.<\/p>\n

By joining a committee, you have the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the community's well-being.<\/p>\n

All board members are required to participate in at least one committee, and as a stakeholder, you are also encouraged to get involved.<\/p>\n

By joining a committee, you can help the Neighborhood Council serve the community to its greatest potential. If you're interested in joining, we invite you to attend a meeting and reach out to the committee chairperson. Together, we can make a difference in the community we call home.<\/p>\n
